This report is of the Jungle Excursion we did while staying in La Romana. We were in for a surprise and agreed that this day was the most memorable of our 14 day cruise. The taxis in the port are filled with people that go to the same destination. We had to wait a while for the taxi to fill up. The bookings process is without a hassle. The staff entertained us from the beginning to the end. We had in about 30 people on our boat and it was great fun. Really relaxed we cruised through the gorge of the river, enjoying the scenery and we were good taken care off by the staff, with lots of drinks and snacks. We finally arrived at the jungle ranch. There was a lot to do, we kayaked and we relaxed in the jacuzzis. We had the entire day great weather, we couldn't have asked for more. We even learned the famous dance of the Dominican Republic: the Bachata. On return in Bayahibe we had a little chat with the owners of Seavis. They made sure all the taxis were there and we got back without a problem. Saona Island is really recommended, but you need to go with a good outfit, don't hesitate to try Seavistours. Seavis is known to avoid the crowds and go to deserted parts of Saona Island, and we agree... it was just like that.!
